Czech company Tekro, which specialises in the production of vitamin and mineral supplements for agricultural animals, plans to construct a new plant for the production of premixes in the Penza region of Russia, according to the report of the press-service of the local government.

Milos Krots, head of the Tekro, said during negotiations with the governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev on Tuesday, February 4, that capacity of the new enterprise is estimated at 25,000 tonnes of feed premixes per year.

“Penza region has a very favourable geographical position. It is a very convenient platform to create our production,” said Krots to the Governor. He also said that his company is ready to invest about EUR 40-50 mln in the construction of the plant.

“For the construction we need four or five hectares of land, and on this site we expect to start production and create about 80 jobs,” said Krots.

Vasily Bochkarev stressed the importance of the project for the development of the agricultural potential of the region, noting that the Penza region is ready to implement the investment project at the site in the Kolyshleysky District. He also added that the regional government will support this project.
