EU authorises heat stable enzymes from Danisco

The EU Commission has granted Danisco Animal Nutrition authorisation for the use of its more heat stable and more concentrated xylanase, amylase and protease enzyme combination for corn-based broiler, turkey and duck feed.

The enzyme combination Avizyme 1505 maintains efficacy after exposure to feed conditioning and pelleting temperatures of up to 90°C.

For ease of addition into vitamin and mineral premixes Avizyme 1505 is available in a concentrated form. For accurate inclusion directly into feed, more dilute versions are available.

Niels Otto Damholt, Danisco’s European Regional Director commented: “Managing feed costs continues to be one of the main focus areas for our customers.

“The unique combination of xylanase, amylase and protease in Avizyme 1505 helps poultry producers maximise value from corn-based feed.

“For example, broiler producers feeding corn diets containing wheat and by-products can currently reduce feed costs by around 7% with Avizyme 1505.”
