The first webinar on gut health in young broilers mainly focused on the veterinary, feed and management aspects of nurturing the birds from the time they hatch until they are well settled in the broiler house.

The second webinar on maintaining gut health during the whole life cycle of the bird looked into dietary measures and the development of a better immune system which renders the bird less susceptible to pathogenic bacteria and viruses.

In this webinar, the speakers looked at which major bugs cause trouble for piglets and hence affect gut health. It was for example explained how the gut is functioning and how the feed composition can be better adapted to farm conditions, e.g. by fibre strategies, nutrient bearing components and certain bioactive substances.

The second webinar dedicated to gut health in piglets involved another set of great speakers, each having a different approach of how to tackle intestinal health via nutritional solutions. The use of protein concentrates, acidifiers and copper and phytase were discussed.
