Finase EC approved for South African market

04-08-2010 | |

A bacterial 6-phytase supplied by AB Vista named Finase EC, has gained official registration in South Africa.

This registration follows the successful launch of Finase EC across the EU earlier this year.

The South African registration of Finase EC means it will be available alongside AB Vista’s intrinsically thermostable xylanase enzyme, Econase XT, which is already approved in the region.

By using Finase EC, customers can benefit from improved phosphate and other phytate-bound nutrient availability, as well as a reduced impact on the environment from phosphate excretion.

Trevor Hartley of Optivite, the distributor for the enzyme in South Africa, commented: “We are pleased to be able to offer both of these superior products to the market. Customers are always keen to find ways of improving animal productivity in an ecological and economical way.”

Ari Kiviniemi, Global Sales Director for AB Vista, said: “This latest development for Finase EC will allow poultry producers in South Africa to capitalise on the unique qualities the phytase has to offer. We are now in our sixth year and are well on the way to ensuring our products are not only the best in the market, but are also available worldwide.”
