Juchem honorary member of Fefac

At the occasion of the 24th Congress of the European Feed Manufacturers’ Federation (Fefac) in Porto, the Fefac General Assembly elected Franz Josef Juchem as honorary member.

Franz Josef Juchem, Managing Director of the Juchem
Group
, is a man of the first hour, who accompanied Fefac from its very
beginnings and shaped its activity leaving his mark on the
organisation.

Over the past forty years he made use of his
entrepreneurial skills and experience within the Fefac work, thus acquiring
extraordinary merits to the benefit of the European compound feed manufacturing
industry.

Since 1996, he holds the mandate of Fefac Treasurer and in 1997
he was elected vice-president.

Since he entered the family company in
1952, Franz Josef Juchem received a series of public distinctions, bespeaking of
his voluntary commitment.

In 2007, he notably will receive the honorary
title “Officier du Mérite Agricole” by the French Minister for
Agriculture.

In 2003, the Saarland Prime Minister awarded him the title
“Economic Counsellor” as a reward for his remarkable achievements in the field
of agriculture and in 1991 he received the
“Bundesverdienstkreuz”-award.

Franz Josef Juchem is only the 5th holder
of the title of Fefac Honorary Member since the Federation was founded in 1959,
following Prof. Marcel van Belle, Hubert Marek, Carl Brenninkmeyer and André
Namur.
