Perten Instruments receives certificate of approval for use of its DA 7300 in-line analyser for use in meat and poultry installations.
The approval means that the instrument can be installed and used in meat and poultry facilities requiring sanitary designed instruments and equipment.
Each sanitary designed instrument is delivered with a copy of the USDA certificate of compliance. The design’s certification is reviewed and renewed with the USDA every four years.
The DA 7300 is a diode array based NIR instrument designed for use in food and agricultural environments. It continuously analyzes moving products for parameters such as moisture, protein, fat and others.
The analysis results are sent to a plant’s process control system for automatic plant optimization or are read out to a display screen for manual adjustment.
The DA 7300 incorporates a real-time video camera with separate illumination for a unique view directly into the process. The video can be viewed on a computer attached to the system’s network – be it in the same building or thousands of miles away.
