ADM Alliance Nutrition plans to permanently close its animal feed manufacturing plant in Ravenna, Ohio in the near future.
Although planned to close the doors in October the plant is still in operation. The closure is part of the company’s plans to expand its facility in Sugarcreek, about 110 km southwest of Ravenna.
ADM Alliance Nutrition offered several employees transfer opportunities to other locations and provides severance packages to those affected by the closure, a spokes woman for the company said.
The plant still has 14 workers on the payroll.
According to ADM the Sugarcreek facility is better located to serve the livestock market and the Ravenna plant would close as soon as the expansion in Sugarcreek is complete.
