OSJC ‘Cherkizovo’ Group has completed the construction of the plant for the production of compound feed with the capacity of 450,000 tonnes in Voronezh Oblast, reported the press-service of the company.
The production sites were put into operation over a short period of time thanks to the use of prefabricated wooden structures and seamless concrete placing, which also helped the group to optimise the cost of construction.
According to a press-service of the Cherkizovo, the total investments in the project composed RUB 2.2 billion (US$34.3 million). It is planned to build two more production units with an additional investment amounts of RUB 9.2 billion (US$ 143.5 million).

Each one is designed for 294,000 heads or 35,000 tonnes in live weight per year. The group plans to complete construction in 2017 and reach the design capacity of 70,000 tonnes per year.
“In the near future we plan to increase the total volume of meat production to 1 million tonnes per year, and reach 275,000 tonnes in live weight by 2017,” said the General Director of Cherkizovo Sergei Mikhailov.
