Gelita AG, a global producer of gelatine products has sold its German subsidiary “Society for Animal Nutrition” (GfT) to Deutsche Tiernahrung Cremer GmbH in Dusseldorf.
GfT belongs to the traditional German mineral feed manufacturers. The company
operates factory sites in Wildeshausen and Memmingen.
Its range of
products includes piglets and sows and mineral feed for cattle. The field
service team of GfT advises clients in composing diets on the
farms.
Deutsche Tiernahrung Cremer is the result of the merger between deuka Deutsche Tiernahrung
and Cremer Feedmills, which took place some months ago.
The acquisition
of GfT gives Cremer good opportunities for innovations in animal feeding and
development of feeding concepts on a broader basis. Also for the export of
special products both firms want to closely operate.
The responsibility
for operating the business of GfT remains unchanged. Business-wise GfT and
Cremer will remain operating independently in their markets.
