The production volume of protein and vitamin supplements (PVS) has fallen for the third consecutive month, according to a report from Russia media Soya News with reference to the official static data.
In July, Russia produced 10,300 tonnes of PVS which is 2% less than in the previous month, and less than July 2013. This is the lowest level of protein and vitamin supplements produced in the country in the last three years.
During January-July of this year, production has fallen more than twice year-on-year. The main reason for the fall according to the country’s experts, is the rising competition from imported products.
