France to export less wheat to EU

17-10-2008 | |

The French grain sector will sell less wheat to the Netherlands this year. This is because of the tough competition of feed grains in the Black Sea area.

France projects to export 7.3 million tonnes of grain to the the European
Union this year. This is 200,000 tonnes less than earlier forecasts. The export
to non-EU countries will increase to 8.5 million tonnes.
