From steel to dryers and coolers

Dutch company Geelen Counterflow produces dryers and coolers for the feed and food industry. Every year, over 400 machines leave the factory and since its founding in 1980, more than 7,500 dryers and coolers have been installed around the world. In the coming years, the company strives to make the machines even more efficient and sustainable by focusing on finding alternatives for gas in the dryers and to better control the air flow in the coolers. Also, focus lies on choosing more sustainable and recyclable materials and production methods while building the equipment. And last but not least, a brand new cradle-to–cradle office has just been completed next to Geelen’s production plant. AllAboutFeed took a short tour through Geelen’s factory to experience what it takes to build these machines from scratch.
