Both sites will produce a full range of spray-dried and liquid pet food palatants and will also be the first fully owned and integrated Kemin palatant manufacturing facilities in the European market, according to the announcement.
"We’re making aggressive improvements to advance our leadership in the pet food industry and become the top supplier of palatants," said Jed Harms, general manager of the worldwide palatant business for Kemin Nutrisurance, the company’s pet food division.
"Establishing our new facilities is a significant milestone in this long-term strategy."
The first facility began operating in April. The larger, second facility will begin operations by the end of the year.
