A large feed mill is to be built in the Moscow region near the city of Voskresensk, according to the reports by the Russian media.

Local authorities confirmed that the new feed mill is the part of a large investment programme to provide about ten major investment projects to be implemented in Voskresensk in the coming year.

The new feed mill will have a production capacity of 20,000 tonnes per year. It has a total estimated cost of RUB 4.5 bn (US$150 mln). In recent years Moscow’s regional government has paid a lot of attention to the developing of agriculture and livestock production.

It is assumed that the new feed mill will provide high quality feed for a the number of pig and poultry farms that has been launched nearby over the last two years.

According to reports by local authorities, the investment programme includes the development of processing capacities – which includes the launching of a turkey meat processing plant in coming months.

Total investment for all projects is expected to exceed RUB 6 bn (US$ 200 mln)
