Agricultural holding MHP, currently the largest producers of poultry meat in Ukraine has decided to buy a Russian LLC “Voronezh agricultural holding”, which has 40 thousand hectares of land and facilities for the storage of grain a total of 200,000 tonnes.
The Ukrainian agricultural holding will invest in first purchasing of the land outside the Ukraine. The transaction value is estimated at around €5 million.
At the end of 2012 MHP handled about 285,000 hectares, which is only 5,000 hectares more than in 2011. By 2016, according to the strategy, MHP’s hectarage should be increased to 500,000 hectares.
In these areas, the holding will be cultivating feed crops for the production of feed to meet the needs of its poultry stock.
MHP has already received the approval of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Ukraine for this purchase. Currently Russian LLC “Voronezh agricultural holding” belongs to the Russian holding “Rusgrain Holding” which is one of the largest feed producers in the Central Part of Russia with 325,000 tonnes of annual output.
