During the first quarter of 2015 Russia produced 484 thousand tonnes of feed for cattle which is 5.6% lower than during the same period of 2014, reported Russian media Soya.
The figures for feed production are currently under pressure due to the general problems of the livestock industry in Russia.
The production of beef and dairy production declined in 2014 and this year market experts also forecast the decrease of its consumption due to the decreased income of the Russian population, which could force citizens to switch from expensive pork and beef to cheaper poultry options.
