In October 2014, Russian feed production exceeded the 2 million tonnes figure for the first time, stated a report from the Russian media Soya News, citing the official data.
The overall production of feed last year is estimated to be around 22.9 million tonnes, which will be 5% higher than in 2013.
The current review of the Russian feed industry indicates that the economic crisis will probably bring a negative impact to the sector which will result in a drop of investments in new projects.
However, several projects which have been created in the last couple of years including the construction of one of the largest feed mills, promise to increase the level of Russian feed production this year by another 1-1.2 million tonnes.
