As of November 17, 2014 Russia has harvested 109.6 million tonnes of grain in the original recorded weight with the average yield of 25.1 hundredweight / ha, according to a report from the country’s Agricultural Ministry.
This amount of grain has been harvested from an area of 43.7 million ha or 97.1% of the total sown land, according to the report:
Wheat has been harvested from the area 23.9 million ha – with a total amount of 62.1 million tonnes with an average yield of 26.0 t / ha.
Barley has been harvested from the area of 9.0 million ha – with a total amount of 21.2 million tonnes with an average yield of 23.5 t / ha.
Corn has been harvested from the area 2.4 million ha – with a total amount of 10.7 million tonnes with an average yield of 45.4 t / ha.
Rapeseed has been harvested from the area 1.0 million ha – with a total amount of 1.4 million tonnes with an average yield of 13.9 t / ha.
Soy has been harvested from the area 1.8 million ha in the total amount 2.5 million tonnes with an average yield of 13.6 t / ha.
It is expected that the final figure of grain harvest this year will exceed 110 million tonnes.
