Ukraine’s grain exports jumped to 8.8 million tonnes in July-October 2008 against 326,904 tonnes in the same period in 2007, a top consultancy said.
UkrAgroConsult said in a report that wheat exports rose to 4.35 million tonnes from 110,628, and sales of barley jumped to 3.635 million from 11,949 tonnes in the first four months in 2007/08 season, reported Reuters.
