Antje Eckel is Agricultural Entrepreneur 2015
Antje Eckel, owner of animal nutrition company Dr Eckel, has been granted with the award “Agricultural Entrepreneur of the Year”.
The award, organised by ‘agrarzeitung’, was handed over at Agritechnica fair, held last week in Hannover, Germany.
The jury honoured the owner of Dr Eckel GmbH for her creativity, entrepreneurial skills and her vision and commitment to agriculture. “A strong sense of future issues and the will to make the company grow healthily are among the cornerstones of Antje Eckel’s success. She is considered by experts to be a “pioneer of innovative feed additives”, said the Managing Director of Trouw Nutrition Germany GmbH, Dr. Anton Einberger, in his eulogy.
The jury commended Dr Eckel GmbH for being a company that is constantly developing innovations for the international animal nutrition market. The founder and CEO of Dr Eckel GmbH thus replaced antibiotic growth promoters early on. Dr Eckel’s innovative approach is the industry standard today. Despite fierce competition, the company was able to maintain its market position and continue its strong growth. For Antje Eckel and her now 50-strong team in Niederzissen and the representative office in Asia, wise investments and ambitious goals are the drive behind the company’s healthy growth.
