JBS United recently lost a valued member of their team. Chris Wallace, JBS United’s Director of Purchasing and long time employee of over 34 years, passed away unexpectedly on September 14th at the age of 57.
Wallace was well known and respected throughout the animal feed and nutrition industry. Everyone at JBS United and the many people he worked with outside the company are deeply saddened by this sudden and tragic loss.
As an extension of his purchasing role at JBS United, Wallace served as a member of the AFIA’s (American Feed Industry Association) Feed Control Committee and Purchasing Seminar Committee. He was a very active supporter of the AFIA and contributed a lot of his time to help the organization.
He was a much-loved and respected contributor to the JBS United team and he will forever be missed by those he worked with.
Wallace was surrounded by family members when he passed. He was laid to rest on September 19th in Crown View Cemetery in Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Legacy Fund for the benefit of Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
