Russia sees stable increase in feed production

During the period of January-April 2015 Russia has produced 7.9 million tonnes of feed, which is nearly 6% more than during the same period in 2014, according to Soya News.

It is expected that the monthly feed production this year will exceed 2 million tonnes and will be stable. The increase in feed production is a result of the growing number of feed mills since the beginning of 2015.

Growing demand for feed

The overall volume of feed production in Russia this year could reach 25 million tonnes. The country currently faces a growing demand for feed due to the rapid development of the domestic livestock industry, following the stimulation program by the Russian government.
