AFIA’s Liquid Feed Symposium coming to San Antonio

The American Feed Industry Association’s 40th annual Liquid Feed Symposium will be at The Grand Hyatt Hotel/Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, USA, Sept. 14-16, 2010.
 
The Liquid Feed Symposium is the only educational program, networking forum and related industry exposition of its kind.
 
The event is specifically aimed at manufacturers of liquid supplements, ingredient suppliers for liquid supplements and equipment manufacturers or supporting companies to this unique and growing industry.
 
Decision-makers in the liquid feed field will be present to gain the latest information on trends, markets, potential regulatory issues, research, marketing techniques and other relevant topics.
 
Challenging theme
The theme of this year’s event is “Sustainability in the face of ongoing challenges.”
 
Experts from business, government and academia will speak on a variety of relevant topics. Expect presentations by Dr. Dan McChesney of the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinary Medicine, AFIA’s Richard Sellers and industry speakers addressing ingredient and nutritional advances.
 
The keynote speaker will be Bruce Vincent, a motivational speaker and businessman who has given speeches throughout the world, testified before Congress on natural-resource issues and appeared on several news programs such as “60 Minutes.”
 
Trade show
The symposium also will feature the Liquid Feed Trade Show where manufacturers, suppliers and industry-support companies will exhibit their products.
 
In addition, an awards luncheon on Sept. 15 will feature the induction of an industry leader into the Liquid Feed Hall of Fame.

The early-bird rate of $405 for AFIA members and $810 for non-members will be in effect until Aug. 6.
 
After that date, the member rate will be $435 for members; $840 for non-members. On-site registration will be $455 for members; $860 for non-members. A special rate of $240 is available to spouses and university representatives.
