Aova and Europharma to market Big Fish feed additive
Aova Technologies, Inc. has partnered with Europharma, a Norwegian subsidiary of Nordly Holdings, to distribute the Big Fish branded additive to aquaculture markets in North America.
Madison, wisconsin, USA based Aova Technologies, Inc. is a start-up company that produces animal feed additives based on University of Wisconsin-Madison technology and licensed through the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF).
The partnership with Europharma, a Norwegian subsidiary of Nordly Holdings, aims at distributing Big Fish branded additive to aquaculture markets in North America.
With a focus on generating salmonoid performance data, Aova and Europharma are poised to penetrate the worldwide salmon markets, which account for approximately two million tonnes of fish feed annually.
Specialised immunoglobulin
Big Fish is a host targeted specialized immunoglobulin. When added to livestock and aquaculture feed, the supplement improves the intestinal health of animals raised in controlled environments by reducing the inflammatory response.
The additive diverts a larger percentage of an animal’s metabolic resources to increase and accelerate its growth, while also reducing overall caloric demands.
