08-07-2008 | |

Due to the unprecedented increases in the cost of raw materials, energy and transportation, BASF is forced to raise its prices for propionic acid and mixtures based on propionic acid again after a first announcement in May 2008.

The following price increase is effective immediately
or as existing contracts permit: Europe: + €80/metric ton and NAFTA, Asia: +
US$130/metric ton.

BASF markets propionic-acid-based pre-servatives
under the trade names Lupro-Grain and Luprosil.
