Bennett named FCI vice president

The Facility Certification Institute (FCI) has promoted Brian Bennett to vice president of the organization. FCI provides feed/food safety programs and auditing services to the feed industry.

In making the announcement, FCI Chairman Rich Severson
said, “Bennett’s dedication and contributions to FCI have played an important
role in the successes we have realized over the years. Our Board voted
unanimously to bestow this new title on Brian which he justly deserves.”

About FCI
FCI was initially founded in March 2001 as
an independent, non-profit organization to provide third party certification
services to companies wishing to certify compliance with the Food and Drug
Administration’s (FDA) BSE feed rule.

FCI now additionally offers
auditing services and certification to the Spray Dried Plasma Producers, Hazard
Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Certification and provides auditing
services to the American Feed Industry Association’s Safe Feed/Safe Food
Certification Program and the Animal Protein Producers Industry’s, Code of
Practice Program.

FCI’s programs are intended for feed mills, pet food
manufacturers, feed dealers, ingredient suppliers, livestock producers, grind
and mix operations, renderers and on-farm mixers.
