04-12-2007 | |

Cargill Ltd. has begun construction to more than double the storage capacity at the Camrose East grain handling operation in Alberta, Canada.

The project is scheduled for completion next fall and
will increase capacity to 37,788 tonnes, Winnipeg-based Cargill said Monday.
Financial details were not disclosed.

The investment will be supported by
additional car spotting and cleaning capacity, with Cargill’s new dual load-out
system allowing for the loading of 100 rail cars.

During construction,
the site will remain fully operational. It also houses a crop inputs centre
offering agricultural products and services, including pesticides for crop
protection, fertilizer and seed, as well as Cargill’s grain marketing and crop
