CP to set up feed mills in Pakistan

A five member delegation of Thai food giant Charoen Pokphand has been exploring locations for investment in feed mills and breeder farms in Pakistan.

This was confirmed by Nutthakrit Sivasri, Vice Chairman, Charoen Pokphand
(CP) Group of Thailand in a meeting with the Pakistan Secretary Board of
Investment (BoI) Mushtaq Malik.

Impressive
progress

Mushtaq Malik said that structural reforms and
stabilization of economic policies of Pakistan government have achieved
impressive progress at the macro-level. He said that investment policies of
Pakistan are investor-friendly and there is a vast potential in all economic
sectors which are open for investment.
Malik
briefed the Thai delegation about investment opportunities in various fields
with special reference to agriculture, livestock and fisheries
sector.

Confidence
Nutthakrit Sivasri expressed confidence in the
economic policies of Pakistan and showed keen interest in setting up of breeder
farms and feed mills. He said that “we are here to see the land allocated by
Punjab government for foreign investors near Lahore”.
