Diamond V gets Safe Feed/Safe Food credit

04-04-2008 | |

Diamond V has received the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) Safe Feed/Safe Food Certification. This certification means that the Diamond V manufacturing facility is now recognized as an approved AFIA SF/SF facility.

“We’re thrilled to announce that Diamond V has
achieved the SF/SF Certification through AFIA, which is another confirmation of
Diamond V’s commitment to quality,” said Lori Flugum, Quality Assurance Manager
for Diamond V Mills. “The process to be certified by the AFIA Safe Feed/Safe
Food program is quite extensive and verifies that proper manufacturing practices
and the highest quality standards are upheld.”

The AFIA SF/SF
certification began in 2004 to demonstrate and ensure continuous improvement in
the delivery of a safe and wholesome feed supply for the growth and care of
animals. All of the companies certified under AFIA SF/SF adhere to rigorous
regulations and require audits and financial investments to ensure they meet
exceptionally strict feed safety requirements. To date, 70 companies are
certified through the AFIA SF/SF program.
