Dr Diaz to lead ruminant research at Novus

Novus International has appointed Duarte Diaz, Ph.D. as Ruminant Research Manager. Dr. Diaz will be responsible for managing ruminant research and will serve as technical lead for Novus’s mycotoxin management programs across species.

Dr. Diaz joins Novus from Utah State University where he was an Assistant
Professor at the department of Animal, Dairy and Veterinary Science.
 Additionally, Dr. Diaz has served as a Dairy Extension Specialist for the
States of Utah, Nevada, Wyoming and Montana. Prior to these experiences, he was
a visiting scientist at the University of Bologna and the Catholic University of
the Sacred Heart in Piacenza, Italy. “My goals are to continue the ruminant
research and development work our team at Novus has been conducting and help
grow our ruminant line of products,” stated Dr. Diaz.

“Duarte has
extensive international experience having consulted with researchers, producers
groups and nutritionists in over 45 countries over the last 10 years. He brings
a wealth of knowledge to Novus,” stated Dr. Mercedes Vázquez-Añón,
Director, Animal Nutrition Research.  

Dr. Diaz was raised on
the Island of Puerto Rico. He holds a Master of Science and Ph.D. from North
Carolina State University in Nutrition/Toxicology.
