Sustainability is the Dr. Eckel GmbH’s answer to the challenges of a globalised animal nutrition market.

The expert for feed additives under economical, ecological and social aspects operates in the industry with numerous Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects. The product line is also consistently oriented towards sustainable aspects.

Dr. Eckel renders pioneering work in order to meet the challenges of international markets with creative solutions for modern animal nutrition.

Efficiency and sustainability are thus combined in an exemplary manner. The EuroTier 2010 trade exhibition constitutes the prelude for the reorientation towards this global necessity.

Responsibility for resources

“We have developed performance indicators which help to measure the successes of sustainable actions in the spheres of efficiency, environmental protection and social responsibility”, explains Dr. Antje Eckel.

“Innovation and creative solutions are a determining factor on our part: they must follow the principles of sustainable action and reasoning. Only in this manner can we retain the trust of our partners, clients and employees on a long-term basis”, she adds.

Research projects characterised by sustainability

For years Dr. Eckel has been consistent in research and development by investing three to four percent of the turnover annually. This is reflected in new, innovative products.

But not only product development is oriented towards sustainability. The owner of the firm, Dr. Antje Eckel – who was distinguished as Entrepreneur of the Year in 2009 – has been demonstrating social commitment for years.

“Although we think and act internationally, we do not forget our roots”, says Dr. Antje Eckel with regard to social commitment in the region.

Dr. Eckel is involved to a great extent in the promotion of children and youth. Numerous projects at the site in Niederzissen enjoy lasting support.
