French feed symposium in Nantes
Tecaliman, Technical Centre for animal feed in France, organises its Annual Symposium, Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at the Cité des Congrès in Nantes. With more than a hundred participants, this day is the main annual meeting of the feed technology professionals in France.
The morning session covers the technical works of Tecaliman, with amongst
others the results of an questionnaire on feed homogeneity and
cross-contamination in factories since 1999. It will also highlight the progress
made by in feed safety and results of a study on the grinding feed to eliminate
enterobacteria will be presented.
In the afternoon a round table panel
will focus on new developments in the feed industry on the implementation of
good manufacturing practices in medicated feeds. This application causes many
constraints in terms of managing the mill and for some manufacturers has
resulted in building a specialised unit.
