Horse nutrition conference 15 and 16 April

Equine nutritionists and veterinarians will speak at the 16th Annual Nutrition Conference held by Kentucky Equine Research (KER). The conference will take place in Lexington, Ky., on April 15 and 16, 2008, and will focus on advanced management of gastrointestinal and metabolic diseases.

The KER conference is designed not only to update
horsemen of all stripes on the latest scientific developments behind producing a
top athlete, but also to arm them with practical management tools that can be
applied on a daily basis.

Findings from current research on the
diagnosis, treatment, management and prevention of various nutrition-related
diseases will be presented by some of the industry’s most prominent figures.

About KER
KER is a nutrition and consultation company that
works with feed manufacturers to develop horse feeds suited for the particular
regions in which they are to be fed. Conclusions drawn from research trials are
used in the formulation of technologically advanced feeds.

In addition
to its research endeavors, KER provides feeds to some of the world’s top equine
athletes. In 2000, the company was tapped to be the official nutritionist of the
United States Equestrian Federation. KER has also played a pivotal role in
procuring feeds for the last three Olympic Games as well as other international
competitions.
