Kazakhstan will not reintroduce a grain export ban in the near future, Prime Minister Karim Masimov said.
To date, Kazakhstan
has taken special measures to avoid future export bans, the Prime Minister said.
Following the harvest of the 2008 crop, the government plans to purchase grain
through the state food corporation to provide all regions with grain. This is
considered a top-priority task and all other grain will be sold according to
decisions taken by traders, explained K.Masimov.
