At the Victam Asia, VNU exhibitions announced that they will organize a new trade show during VIV Asia in 2011. With this new show – Aquatic Asia – the organizers give buyers and suppliers in aquaculture in the Asia Pacific region a unique opportunity to meet key contacts in the international aqua business.
“There is a huge growth potential of aquaculture in the Asia Pacific region” explained Ruwan Berculo and Teerayuth Leelakajornkij of VIV. At the former VIV Asia the organizers already started with small aqua pavilions, and noticed a large interest and need for information among the visitors. “That is why we decided to make it into one dedicated trade show for aquaculture in 2011” explained Berculo.
Besides main topics in aquaculture such as R&D, production and marketing, the show will have a strong focus on algae production and related aqua activities such as mariculture and capture based aquaculture.
The organizers say that this show will be unique compared to other aqua trade shows, because of its true international character.
VIV Asia and Aquatic Asia will be held March 9-11, 2011 at BITEC Bangkok.
