Nigeria invests in fish farming estate foundation

Nigerian Kwara State Governor, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, in Omu-Aran, laid the foundation of a N54million (app. €240,000) fish farming estate as part of the youth empowerment programme of a National Assembly member , Gbenga Makanjuola.

The farming estate which is on ten plots of land comprises four hatcheries, 100 units ground tanks, a feed mill capable of producing five tonnes of fish feed per day, administrative complex, fish processing unit and 100 capacity hall.
 
Laying the foundation, Saraki said, "I am happy that the initiative of Hon. Gbenga Makanjuola is to complement the efforts of this administration in bringing dividends of democracy to the doorstep of the citizens especially the unemployed youths".
