The 22nd annual Southwest Nutrition and Management Conference (SWNC) will be held in Tempe, Arizona, on February 22-23 at the Mission Palms Resort. This year’s themes are “Maximizing fibre digestion” and “Effects of heat stress on dairy and beef cattle.”
The conference is recognized as one of the largest gatherings of West Coast dairy and beef nutritionists, consultants, academics, and veterinarians.
It is perceived as a great opportunity to learn more about cutting edge research in regards to cattle nutrition, metabolism and management, and is also a chance to network with key personnel in the West Coast dairy and beef industries. The conference is steadily growing, with over 400 people expected to attend this year.
The event includes the annual golf tournament which will take place on Wednesday, February 21, at the Karsten Golf Courses. Registration opens that evening, and a two-day seminar begins February 22. Global animal health company Alltech., the pre-conference symposium sponsor, will hold a reception during the registration.
For more information about the event and how to register, visit SWNC.
The SWNC is a not-for profit conference and is put on solely by the Department of Animal Sciences at the University of Arizona.
