People: CRF appoint research manager

Cooperative Research Farms (CRF), one of the largest privately owned livestock, poultry and equine research networks has appointed Ashley L. Wagner, Ph.D as Research Manager.

Dr. Wagner received her Bachelor of Science in Animal and Poultry Sciences in 2006 and her Master of Science in 2008 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech).  Her Master’s emphasis was in Swine Nutrition with a thesis on Impacts of phytase on various nonstarch polysaccharidase activities in distillers dried grains with solubles.
 
In December 2011, Dr. Wagner received her Doctorate of Philosophy in Animal and Food Sciences from the University of Kentucky, with an emphasis on Equine Nutrition and Metabolism.  Her dissertation was on Factors affecting skeletal muscle protein synthesis in the horse. She also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Kentucky, Center for Muscle Biology, Department of Physiology with an emphasis on Skeletal Muscle Chronobiology and Metabolism.
 
Cooperative Research Farms, since its inception in 1954, has been dedicated to providing the latest nutritional technology that can be transferred to livestock & poultry producers and horse owners. CRF is a multi-national organization of regional feed manufacturers in North America and Europe. For fifty-eight years, CRF members have worked together conducting livestock and poultry nutrition & management related research for the benefit of their farmer customers. 
 
CRF’s members are: Co-op Atlantic, Moncton, New Brunswick; La Coop Fédérée, Montreal, Quebec; Federated Co-operatives Limited, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Kalmbach Feeds, Inc., Upper Sandusky, Ohio; Southern States Cooperative Inc., Richmond, Virginia; Tennessee Farmers Cooperative, LaVergne, Tennessee; and Union Invivo ets INZO°, Chateau Thierry, France.
