Albert is also involved in the Feed Solutions team within Provimi that is responsible for the integration of research with producer requirements.
A veterinary surgeon, Albert worked in practice for 4 of years before joining Dutch feed mill Cehave in Veghel. He worked as a nutritionist and offered technical support in animal health and swine nutrition. Later he focused more on research at Cehave and CCL.
Albert obtained his PhD in 2001 with a research project on the use of blood plasma in diets for weaned piglets. He then joined the company Perstorp, developing organic acid products, and also worked with Novus in Brussels as product manager for enzymes and organic acids in pig and poultry diets.
In his new job, Albert will spend about 40% of his time travelling through the WEMEA region and the rest of his time at Provimi headquarters in Rotterdam.
