Price increase for methylamines and its derivatives

With immediate effect, BASF is increasing its European sales prices for methylamines and methylamine derivatives.

The price increases are as follows:
Monomethylamine (MMA)                   + €30 per metric ton
Dimethylamine (DMA)                        + €40 per metric ton
Trimethylamine (TMA)                       + €50 per metric ton
Dimethylaminopropylamine (DMAPA)    + €120 per metric ton
Dimethylethanolamine (DMEOA)           + €30 per metric ton
Methylethanolamine (MMEOA)              + €30 per metric ton
Methyldiethanolamine (MDEOA)            + €30 per metric ton
Dimethylformamide (DMF)                    + €50 per metric ton
Dimethylacetamide (DMAC)                  + €30 per metric ton
 
Methylamines and methylamine derivatives are versatile chemical intermediates with a wide range of applications, such as agrochemicals, water treatment and personal care.
 
They also prove valuable in the production of feed additives and organic solvents.
 
BASF produces methylamines and their derivatives at its sites in Ludwigshafen, Germany; Geismar, Louisiana, USA; Nanjing, China; and Camaçari, Brazil.
