Production transfer of Joosten Products to Provimi
The production of young animal nutrition products at Joosten Products in Weert, the Netherlands, will be transferred to sister company Provimi B.V. in Rotterdam as per 1 October 2009.
This transfer of operations is part of a restructuring plan to improve efficiency within the mother company of Joosten Products, Provimi Holding. With this transfer, Provimi Holding , also expects to improve services to customers and to extend its product portfolio.
As a direct consequence, the manufacturing location of Joosten Products in Weert will be closed. On 2 June the staff of Joosten Products in Weert has been informed about this closure which will result in 20 redundancies. Joosten Products has offered the concerned employees a social package.
Development and sales & marketing of products for young animal nutrition under the brand ‘Joosten Products’ will be continued, even on a stronger basis with more focus on sales & marketing. Joosten Products is well known for its calf mlk replacer “Joosten Milk” and diary based swine concentrates: “Delac”, “Skimpro” and “Superpig”.
