Reduced feed costs for Dutch dairy farmers

A good pasture season resulted that dairy farmers in the Netherlands have seen a drop in compound feed with around 30% per 100 milk in 2009.

This is according to figures by several feed producers in the Netherlands.

Feed company De Heus said that feed costs from April till August 2009 reduced with €1.90 per 100 kilogram milk. According to Agrifirmm, the total feed costs are reduced with 34%.
