Starch fibre for higher milk production
Dutch feed company Agrifirm introduces fibre starch as a new wet feed for dairy cows.
The product, manufactured by Avebe is obviously high in
starch and reduces the urea content of the milk. In addition, the high glucose

Starch fibre has a dry matter content of approximately
50%. It fits perfectly in rations that contain a high percentage of pasture
grass or grass silage and provides a good alternative for corn silage.
The production process of starch fibre is almost the same as that from
potato fibre. The difference is that the protein is taken out and that the
starch remains in the product.
