The complex is equipped with Belgian machinery, including six poultry breeding houses, a hatchery, nine broiler houses, farmland, a feed mill, as well as protein factory, which makes the poultry complex virtually waste-free.
As the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) said, this specialized private farm is expected to produce 3,000 tonnes of poultry meat and 4 million hatching eggs per year after reaching full capacity.
In the future, it is planned to build a separate line for production of semi-finished products, canned and other processed products. The complex employs 180 people.
Already in June 2007 Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree with a view to supporting this particular production providing for construction of the agro-industrial complex in Baharly district occupying 30 hectares of land.
The document also authorizes the allocation of 1,500 and 500 hectares of irrigated land in Akhal and Dashoguz provinces respectively for cultivation of coarse grains.
The President of Turkmenistan attended the inauguration ceremony. In his speech, he emphasized that by the scale of production and level of equipment "Gush Toplumy" does yield to the best foreign analogues.
Calling domestic entrepreneurs "the golden stock of the country," the president said Turkmenistan would continue providing full targeted support to development of private businesses.
To make the complex successful Gush Toplumy has been exempted from taxes for several years.
