ADM Agri-Industries is a wholly owned subsidiary of Archer Daniels Midland Co.
Its plant in Windsor, Ontario, was added on Dec. 18 to a list of Canadian plants under restriction for the same reason, according to a record on the
FDA website.
Three plants owned by Bunge remain on the list as well, along with one owned by Viterra.
Canadian meal shipments to the United States are down this year because of the FDA’s zero tolerance for salmonella.
The FDA record on the restriction can be viewed here.
