What exactly is bioethanol?

Ethanol is produced from sugar and starch crops including corn, barley, and wheat.

New techniques also allow producing ethanol from waist agriculture products like corn stalks, trees and switchgrass. 

In theory, it is possible to produce ethanol from every vegetable matter that can be fermented.
