Zaragoza prepares for ninth FIMA

16-01-2009 | |

The Spanish city of Zaragoza is getting ready for the ninth edition of its livestock show FIMA, which is planned for 24-27 March.

The show, held in the heart of Spain’s main pig area
around Catalonia and Aragón, has become more and more important over the last
couple of years. Two years ago, an exposition surface of 74,500 m2 was reached,
presenting 814 exhibitors – among which 278 foreign companies. In total, 50,646
visitors made their way to Zaragoza.

The show, focusing on all aspects
of livestock keeping, has something to offer for those interested in pigs,
poultry, rabbits, goats, sheep and cattle and will be spread out over six
pavillions. With increasing amounts of flights going to Zaragoza and excellent
high-speed connections to both Barcelona and Madrid, it has become increasingly
easy to reach the city on the Ebro river.
