Layn Natural Ingredients launches TruGro Car Joint Health for pets

Hog Slat highlights fall arrest system to protect farm workers

Climbing feed bins is necessary when operating a livestock farm, but there is always a risk of falling. Hog Slat’s Fall Arrest System aims to reduce the risk of injuries caused by falls while working at height by limiting the distance of a fall. Installation is straightforward and using the system is simple. 

dsm-firmenich expands environmental footprinting to beef industry with Sustell

dsm-firmenich has expanded Sustell, a life cycle assessment platform for animal protein, to meet the environmental footprinting needs of the beef industry. Beef producers can now measure and understand the full environmental footprint of their operations. Sustell for beef encompasses all stages of beef production, including cow/calf operations for breeding and growing stages for replacement and beef cattle. It covers feedlot, housed, and pasture, range, and paddock production systems.

Volac launches new feed additives website

Volac has launched a new website for its Feed Additives division. Rebecca O’Sullivan, Volac product manager for Feed Additives: “With core competencies in microbiology, biochemistry, enzymology and immunology, we provide valuable scientific solutions for mycotoxin risk management and some exciting new phytogenic and nutraceutical products. These global market offerings support good animal health, resilience and productivity in both the ruminant and monogastric sectors, ultimately bringing improved profitability and sustainability to the international feed industry.”

Nettex launches StimuLife and RevitaLyte for piglets

Nettex has launched StimuLife and RevitaLyte to help farmers support piglet health and survival rates. StimuLife aims to support a piglet’s natural defences and includes colostral proteins and vitamin E, while RevitaLyte contains a blend of organic acids and betaine to help preserve the gut lining and improve digestion. 

Evonik completes MetAmino production in Singapore

The expansion of Evonik’s MetAmino (DL-methionine) production facilities in Singapore has been completed. The production on Jurong Island is again running at full capacity, after shutdowns in Q4/2023 and Q2/2024. The production capacity has been increased by 40,000 metric tonnes, bringing the total to 340,000 metric tonnes per year.

The Sunswine Group is rebranding to Animistic, which it says reflects the business’ dedication to providing accessible animal nutrition driven by core ethics of Science + Heart. The company notes: “Our new name embodies our holistic approach to monogastric animal care, emphasising the synergy between scientific advancement and heartfelt dedication.”

Anitox joins Iluma Alliance

Feed safety specialist Anitox is now part of Iluma Alliance, a global business ecosystem dedicated to creating value for the feed and food industry. Anitox will continue to operate independently.

Martine Boon announced as incoming GMP+ International MD

Martine Boon is the new managing director of GMP+ International, a scheme for animal feed safety and sustainability. She replaces outgoing MD, Roland van der Post. With a background in agricultural economics, Martine joins GMP+ from Rabobank where she most recently served as Director of Food & Agriculture Transition and Sector Management. She brings a wealth of experience in agricultural financing, agrifood-tech start-ups, and management.
