Canadian company Buhler Industries Inc. sold its subsidiary BMW MachineWorks Ltd. to a company controlled by Canadian Tool & Die Ltd. This move will focus Buhler’s assets on the manufacturing and marketing of farm equipment.

“Instead of allocating time and resources to producing components, we can
focus our energy on building and distributing products,” said Dr. Ossama
AbouZeid, president and CFO of Buhler Industries. “All employees will remain
employed with BMW MachineWorks with no loss of benefits.” Under the new
ownership, BMW MachineWorks will continue to supply components to Buhler.
