Miavit gives neonatal piglets jump-start into life
German animal nutrition company Miavit has added a supplementary feed in liquid form for neonatal piglets to its portfolio – and will present this at the upcoming EuroTier.
MiaKick is especially designed to supply fast energy to ensure an optimal start for newborn piglets. The product can be added orally through a little pump.
The approach is aimed to increase the survival rate of piglets with a low birth weight or poor health – so to eventually reduce piglet losses.
The product, consisting of readily available energy, medium-chain fatty acids, probiotics, vitamins and powdered eggs, should aid the piglets to achieve immediate colostrum intake.
